05-07-2020 Second Swarm in Kenmore, New York - Part 1 The Capture
Today, I was called about another swarm located on the
outside of a garage in Kenmore, New York just a little north of Buffalo,
New York. The temperature was 50 F. This swarm took off from the mother
hive May 6th during 54 F weather. Little did they know that the
temperatures were going to plummet that evening. Notice the dead bees on
the ground from the chilly night. I captured the swarm with the Bee Vac (took a video
and pics).
Later I transferred this swarm into a
Nuc box within my East Aurora bee yard.
Stay tuned as I will document the progress of this swarm, throughout the year.
